PUPPY FOUNDATIONS (6 SESSIONS- Each session is 1-1.5hrs) -$475.00 **For puppies aged 8 weeks - under 6 months old** This course is for those who want to build a strong bond with their puppy from the start! Laying a solid foundation is imperative for a successful future together. The key is being PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE. We will be covering several topics: -How to live with and manage your puppy -Teaching your puppy HOW TO LEARN through MOTIVATION -Building a Communication System (Markers) -Play -Crate training -Potty training -Proper "socialization" (Exposure) -Biting/Nipping -Puppy Handling (prepare your puppy for vet visits, grooming, body inspections, etc) -Intro to Obedience such as Sit, Down, Place and Recall) And much more... We will be using A LOT of Positive Reinforcement during this course (building the motivation before we introduce obligation).*It is strongly encouraged to train with a hungry puppy.* Don't have your puppy yet? No problem! The first session will help you be ready for when you DO have your puppy and will help avoid common mistakes so life with your puppy is much easier and more enjoyable! EQUIPTMENT LIST (Tools you will need for this course): -We do a lot of motivational work with food in this course. Clients are encouraged to bring a hungry pup with lots of HIGH VALUE treats/ food. -You will need a Crate for this course and for your dog's overall well being and overall success. -Leash; minimum of 6ft (20ft max.) for this course and/or retractable leash. -Flat buckle collar and/or Harness. We do not use correction collars in this course. -High value treats/food -Treat Pouch -Dog Cot/bed; **Clients are encouraged to invest in a elevated dog cot as we will need one for the ON-LEASH OB. Course.** -Interactive Toy your dog likes; tug toy, ball on rope.
