To ensure clarity, fairness, and the best possible training outcomes for both clients and their dogs, the following policies apply to all training services.

 

​​​1. Payment & Refund Policy
- All payments are due in full at the time of booking unless otherwise stated in writing.
- All sales are final. Training packages, single sessions, consultations, and assessments are non‑refundable.
- Unused sessions cannot be transferred to another person or dog without prior written approval.
Training is an investment in your dog’s long‑term wellbeing. Your commitment allows us to reserve time, prepare individualized plans, and maintain scheduling fairness for all clients.

2. Session Expiry & Scheduling
- Training packages must be completed within a set timeframe from the date of the first session:
Example: 4‑session packages must be used within 8 weeks; 6‑session packages within 12 weeks.
- Sessions not completed within the timeframe expire and are not eligible for extension or refund.
- Clients are responsible for booking their sessions in advance to ensure availability.
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Late cancellations or no‑shows result in the session being forfeited.

3. Client Responsibilities
*Successful training requires consistency, practice, and follow‑through.*

By enrolling in training, clients agree to:
- Complete all assigned homework and practice between sessions.
- Follow training instructions as provided, including safety protocols.
- Communicate honestly about challenges, progress, or concerns.
- Maintain a safe environment for training (proper equipment, secure space, etc.).
- Ensure all household members are aligned with the training plan.
Note: Training is a collaborative process. Your trainer provides guidance, structure, and expertise — but your daily implementation determines your dog’s long‑term success.

4. Trainer Responsibilities
Optimal Canine Solutions commits to:
•     Providing balanced, results‑driven training tailored to each dog’s needs and temperament.
•     Using a combination of rewards, structure, and fair, humane consequences appropriate to the dog and the training goals.
•     Offering clear, actionable guidance and ongoing support.
•     Prioritizing safety, clarity, and long‑term success for both dog and owner.

5. Behaviour & Safety
- The trainer reserves the right to discontinue a session if a dog’s behaviour poses a safety risk.
- Clients must disclose any history of aggression, reactivity, or medical concerns prior to training.
- Failure to disclose relevant information may result in termination of services without refund.

6. Weather, Illness & Emergencies
- Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to extreme weather at the trainer’s discretion.
- If the trainer must cancel due to illness or emergency, the session will be rescheduled at no cost.
- Client illness or emergency rescheduling follows the standard cancellation policy unless otherwise approved.

7. Media & Privacy
- With client consent, photos or videos may be taken for progress tracking or educational content.
- Clients may decline media use at any time.

8. Agreement
By booking services with Optimal Canine Solutions, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this policy.
